Why Black Belt AI

Why Black Belt AI?

Most people hear “Black Belt” and think martial arts. In business, it has another meaning. A Master Black Belt represents advanced expertise in Lean Six Sigma—a proven approach to improving processes, reducing waste and building systems that perform better. That thinking is at the foundation of Black Belt AI.

Our Philosophy

Clarity

Focus on what truly matters. Understand the customer, the team and the business problem before choosing the technology.

Efficiency

Remove friction. Eliminate wasted steps, unnecessary delays and repetitive work.

Sustainability

Build for what comes next. Create systems that can continue improving as the company grows.

Two Perspectives. One Approach to Better Business.

Black Belt AI was founded by mother-daughter team Janet Vega and Jessica Vega-Guzman. Their backgrounds are different but complementary.

Janet Vega — Co-Founder & Lead Technical Developer at Black Belt AI

Janet Vega

Co-Founder & Lead Technical Developer

Janet has spent nearly 20 years helping a large, complex enterprise run smoother — as an analytics leader and Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She started Black Belt AI to bring that know-how to the people who need it most: the local businesses and family companies that can't afford to miss a call or lose a lead. She leads the technical side of everything the company builds — websites, AI employees, voice and chat agents, and the automations behind them — always with the same goal: let the technology handle the busywork so people can get back to the human connection that grows a business.

“The goal was never to replace people. It was to free them up to do what people do best.”
Jessica Vega-Guzman — Co-Founder & Solutions Engineer at Black Belt AI

Jessica Vega-Guzman

Co-Founder & Solutions Engineer

Jessica bridges the gap between business needs and technology. She specializes in designing and implementing practical AI solutions—from CRM systems and workflow automation to customer-facing voice and conversational AI. Her focus is making technology approachable and making sure what Black Belt AI builds works smoothly in real life.

“Technology should make businesses work better for both employees and customers — approachable, practical, and grounded in real business needs.”

Technology Should Help People Connect Better.

AI should not make your business less human. It should help make sure customers get answered, supported and guided when they need you. When repetitive work is handled more efficiently, teams have more capacity for the conversations, decisions and relationships where people matter most.

“You can’t build trust with a customer you never respond to.”
